Hm. I've had really vivid, but bizarre, dreams this past week. For a few, it's been fairly obvious (well, at least if one is willing to stretch the imagination a bit) where they could come from. Others . . . eh? I really should be recording these. I'm just so . . . well, lazy. Really.

And sure, it's a million years away, but I fear this.

I hope, someday, to no longer be congested.
Yes, it's that time again. The "why are undergraduates so . . . aggravating" time.

Well, I suppose it's nearly always that time, but still.

What's more fun to think about is that, next year, I'll have 50 annoying students as opposed to just 5 or 6. Joy.

Anyways. I love how they expect you to respond to an email immediately. But, if you email them, even if it's clearly important, they can take their lazy assed time to get back to you.

Ah, double standards.

And I wanted to do this as a career because . . . ?
What the hell. I watch the damn thing every week, might as well answer them . . . the [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive:

1. If you had to choose being blind or deaf, what would you choose and why?
This is tough, but I'd have to go with deaf. I really, truly don't think I could go without reading, watching movies, and using my computer. I would definitely miss music, as it's a close second to my absolute love for books. However, my love for books goes beyond simply reading the words on the pages. I love looking at them - the covers, the textures of the pages, the typefont. I adore wandering through used bookstores and seeing the various signs of age on the books. And few things, if any, can beat spending an afternoon getting lost in a good book. I love movies and TV too much as well. Plus, I still have days where I think the world is simply amazing - when I catch a sunrise or sunset, drive across 520 on a clear day and can see the mountains on either side, and so on. I really wouldn't want to miss that.

2. What is the best smell?
Hm. When I'm feeling depressed or lonely - Hermione's head. Seriously. Tired or down, a fresh latte.

3. Would you rather be hot or cold?
Hm, I really hate either extreme, but I'd probably have to choose hot (I mean, we're talking reasonable temperatures still, right?) I can always sit in front of a fan, find a place with air conditioning, and the like. I hate being cold.

4. What's the worst feeling in the world?
Hopelessness.

5. Would you rather have something hurt or something be itchy?
I'd rather have something hurt. I can become tolerant of mild doses of pain (hell, I've been living with back pain for over a decade now). However, when something itches - it completely distracts me. I have the most difficult time focusing my attention away from an itch. Pain, I can swallow a bunch of Advil or even make use of the oxycodone I have left over from my wisdom teeth being removed. :)

And, sometimes all a girl needs is INXS to cheer her up. (Sure, laugh.)
