Curly traitor
May. 29th, 2007 06:55 pmI'd like my dreams to stop.
Seriously.
In other news, I'm a traitor for a day or two. Got my hair recolored and cut today and when Chamaine asked if I wanted her to straighten it, I couldn't help myself. We both justified it on the basis that it hasn't been straightened since November and everyone needs a change every now and again. The only problem is that I remembered how much I like my hair straight - while it's a pain in the ass to do, it's easier to deal with (at least while it's dry out). I don't have to worry about messing it up, I don't have to spend hours with it still damp, and it lasts me at least 2, if not 3, days.
Oh well. Embracing the curl was supposed to be symbolic of a larger attempt at accepting pieces of myself. So the straightener will remain in the closet. For now.
I love the color. I hate that the scalp at my hairline soaks up the color though - which is to blame for the reddish tint along my hairline. Oh well. It'll disappear the first time I wash it.
