(no subject)

Tonight, mom and I are going to see Genesis.

Yep.

And I'm excited.

So if you feel like laughing . . . bugger off. ;)

Granted, it's not quite as exciting as it would be if both Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel were going to be there. However, I had a fangirl crush on Phil Collins when I was like 8. Yes, that was 18 years ago. But better late than never!

She claims we have good seats, so I'm anxious to see where they are (and how much she spent on them).

One of the many reasons I'm lucky mom likes to have a good time . . . Who else would I see old school cheesy bands with? (Or have buy me overly expensive tickets to see the Rolling Stones because she'll be able to go as well?)

Of course, my foot hurts. I should expect nothing less from my cantankerous body.

It's always the same, that's just a shame...

I would love to see Peter Gabriel perform with Genesis...but I would love to see Peter Gabriel perform anywhere.

Likewise. He's definitely on my 'to see (if I can afford it)' list.

why would i laugh? i think it's awesome that you're seeing genesis. there's nothing wrong with liking cheesy music. hell, i went to see neil diamond with my parents, and he's the king of cheese. (but he puts on a damn good show!)

[identity profile] baristababe.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Precisely! These guys put on an incredible show. So much fun.

My Jukebox doesn't have any Genesis albums. Now it seems somewhat lacking...

[identity profile] baristababe.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It needs a greatest hits, at least. :)

no laughing here -- I like all three: Genesis, Phil Collins, and Peter Gabriel. Have fun!

Then you have fabulous taste, my dear. :)

We had a great time!

(And are you also going through bpal.org withdrawal? I mean - do I actually have to work?!)

[identity profile] stellans.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
oh my, yes! I've gotten too much stuff done today that has nothing to do with BPAL, and I don't like it!

I trust you had fun...
downtown ALB was wacky busy last night... we also heard that Jethro Tull was playing somewhere.

[identity profile] baristababe.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
It was pretty busy, but we convinced dad to play chauffer, so we didn't have to worry so much about traffic. We had a blast!

[identity profile] stellans.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish Jethro Tull would come this way; we've liked that group for the longest time. Ever hear of a Celtic rock group called Tempest? They have a flute player who plays that style.

[identity profile] retepsnave.livejournal.com 2007-09-17 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
huh... no I haven't heard of the Tempest-
